AYDAN BAHAR

AYDAN BAHAR

When you choose to play Aydan Bahar, you will gain something that no other PC in Arcadia Tenebra has: being able to play with two skill sets – that of Aydan Bahar and her deceased fiancée Klaus Croy, with all the attached complex combinations and strategies you can come up. To take advantage of this unique gaming option, you might want to delve further into the life story of the quiet grey-eyed girl who climbed her way up from being an orphan at the Border to the shiny offices of the Imperial Intelligence Service in Vienna.

Silent as a mouse, furtive as an owl, Aydan Bahar easily flows under everyone’s radar. Knowing an orphan has no family or allies in this world, she uses every opportunity to learn languages, skills, and information, performing small intelligence tasks for whoever pays more. Until she meets handsome Austrian liaison officer Klaus Croy. In a matter of days, Aydan replaces her androgynous clothes with modest yet very feminine dresses, falling head over heels for the polite and idealist officer. Blissful days of their betrothal lasted for mere weeks before Klaus suddenly succumbed to a fever during the young couple’s journey to Ragusa. Her only love’s death left Aydan frozen for days: no tears wetted her cheeks, no words left her mouth. And yet, unbeknownst to others, a momentous transformation took over her soul. After seven days, Aydan ceased to mourn, rose from her bed, dressed in her finest clothes, and contacted her former employers, who soon discovered she has gained a new, rather uncanny set of abilities. In truth, Aydan was now able to effortlessly slip in and out of her own or her dead fiancé’s personality, using this strange flow in between characters to quickly accomplish even the most demanding intelligence tasks. Clients were thoroughly impressed by Aydan’s uncanny ability to mix determination and fragility, recklessness and shyness, eloquence and self-abnegation. She was now able to do the job of an entire team on her own, and quickly. Her unique skill set caught the eye of a certain senior Imperial Intelligence Officer, and that was how 21-year-old Aydan Bahar ended on a highly classified, highly sensitive mission in Arcadia Tenebra.

However, Aydan wasn’t impressed by the trust of her superiors or the envy of her colleagues on account of being assigned to such an important mission. Her attention remained in an entirely different sphere: her soul. Besides being able to walk and speak like Klaus, down to imitating his voice, Aydan noticed she had begun having dreams and memories that were not her own, but that of her deceased fiancée. Soon enough, she stopped noticing those “switches”, and just went along with the flow. Whenever she faced a predicament, she would hear her beloved’s words in her mind: “Do not be afraid, our fate is already written.”
